App button

Quick summary

Hold the button in the app. Sends instantly.

How it works

The most visible trigger. Hold the big SOS button for ~1.5 s — a brief countdown starts. Cancel if it was accidental. Don't cancel — alarm fires and your circle is notified immediately.

T2

Power button

Quick summary

Sequential screen on/off, 3–4 times. Covert — works from your pocket.

How it works

The invisible trigger. Turn the screen on and off 3–4 times in a row while the phone is in your pocket. No unlock, no app open. Nobody sees you doing anything — the pattern fires the alarm silently.

BLE button

Quick summary

A $3 Bluetooth keychain. Press through fabric, one year on a single CR2032 battery.

How it works

The most versatile hardware trigger. Clips to a bag strap, keychain, or belt. The app sees it as a camera remote — one click fires the alarm instead of taking a photo.

T4

Fall detection

Quick summary

Gyroscope watches 24/7 for a fall signature. No action needed — cancel the countdown, or alarm fires automatically.

How it works

Designed for workers at height, the elderly, and anyone who could be incapacitated. Detects freefall, hard impact, sustained stillness. Configurable sensitivity and 5–30 s delay.

T5

Dead man timer

Quick summary

Set a check-in deadline before going somewhere. Miss it — circle gets the alarm automatically. No action required from them.

How it works

The deferred trigger. You set it up before a risky situation — solo night shift, hike, first date. If you don't confirm "all OK" by the deadline, it fires on its own. Works like "I'll call when home" — but automatic.

Absence of activity

Quick summary

Phone detects no interaction for a set period — no unlocks, no movement. Alarm fires on its own.

How it works

The passive trigger. No per-incident setup needed. If something happens and you stop using your phone, the system notices. Unlike the dead man timer, this requires no conscious check-in — the phone watches for you.

NFC tag

Quick summary

Stick a tag under your desk. Touch phone to it — silent alarm fires immediately. Nobody sees anything unusual.

How it works

The invisible trigger. Stick an NFC sticker under your office desk, in a drawer, or by the bed. Pressing your phone against it fires a silent alarm — looks exactly like you just put your phone down. Coming soon.

Pick the right trigger

Each trigger is designed for a different context. You can enable multiple at once.
